I do have The Upside of Unrequited on my to-read list, I read Simon Vs last year and loved it so this was pretty much an auto-add when I saw it was by the same author, but your review has certainly convinced me to move it up the list a little now.

This was a fantastic book that I am never going to read again. Reading it was like having to sit and watch the painful awkwardness my high school self.
